New Delhi [India], Nov. 2 : President Pranab Mukherjee will embark on a three-day state visit to Nepal from today, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

This is the first visit by an Indian head of the state in 18 years to Nepal.

The President's visit is seen as a "goodwill friendship visit" on the invitation of Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari

During the visit, he will hold talks with the President, Prime Minister and other leaders of Nepal.

President Mukherjee is likely to have discussions on various bilateral, regional and international issues of significance like post-earthquake reconstruction projects, concerns of Madhesi community among others. (ANI)
