Pre-monsoon activities termed activePre Monsoon activities are gaining speed as the case is; Northern belt has received bouts of rains resulting in lowering of temperature at several places.

In case of Rajasthan, Mewat region witnessed overnight rains while Dholpur district recorded 10.6 cm downpour.

Met department in this regard have indicated an increase of pre-monsoon activity which in turn signals the coming of south-west monsoon which can soon be expected to hit by Monday.

Delhi however reported with traces of rainfall and finally settled below 40-degree Celsius with a high humidity level. The maximum temperature reported to be 39.4 C, two units above normal, and the minimum stood at 27.7 C.

Meanwhile people in Punjab and Haryana breathed relief as mercury settled within the normal levels at most places.
