Kathmandu, Dec 24 : Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda has said that the country''s political forces have been heading for a new phase of polarisation with leftists on one side and ''reactionary'' forces on the other.

He said large groups of UML cadres would be joining Maoist in the coming months.
"The UML should join hands with Maoists. And those reactionaries within UML not willing to join hands with Maoists will fall to the ground in pieces, Kantipur quoted Prachanda as saying. He said that polarization among communist forces started taking place some two and a half years ago.
