Berlin - Portuguese President Cavaco Silva is due to visit Germany on Tuesday March 3, a Berlin government spokesman announced Friday.

The purpose of the visit, during which he'll also meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, is to promote bilateral ties and discuss economic and financial policies, the government spokesman said. (dpa)
