Portability requests still on call waiting

MNPCell phone users, who had chosen Mobile Number Portability (MNP) immediately following its release last month, are having a feeling of harassment.

The issue is neither the operator they had chosen nor the service provider they opted for are switching from providing any response regarding why their numbers have still not got ported. By way of the bargain, the users have lost money over the latest services as well as have their usage disrupted.

According to Adarsh, an entrepreneur hailing from Kilpauk who switched to Airtel from Vodafone, had made an application for MNP as soon as the services had started, by sending texting to ‘1900’ from his number. He had then got the unique porting code.

However, his first try was rejected because of ‘technical reasons’ and he was asked to get in touch with the customer care. However he had received no reply from the service provider after that.

He has said that his code ultimately got expired within 8 days. So he paid again and made another request but this effort was wasted as well.

Then Airtel’s customer care had informed him that he could enter the Airtel network but Vodafone has still not released the number. Adarsh is not exasperated due to his numerous unanswered requests.
