Polling on for by-poll elections to Hazratbal seat in J-K
Srinagar, June 3 : Polling for the by-poll elections to the Hazratbal Assembly seat in Jammu and Kashmir began at 7 a. m. on Wednesday morning amid tight security.
The poll was necessitated after the National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah vacated his Assembly seat to become a Cabinet minister at the Centre.
The main fight on this Assembly seat is between the ruling National Conference and the Opposition People's Democratic Party.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the entire constituency keeping in view the surcharged environment in the valley following mysterious death of two women in Shopian on Saturday.
The polling will last till 5 p. m. (ANI)
