PML-Q says Musharraf is history now, wants to talk to PML-N in “national interests”

pervez-musharrafLahore, Aug 23 : PML-Q Secretary Gen Mushahid Hussain has said that his party was no more in touch with former president General Musharraf, whose political career, in his words, was “over”.

He said that now his party could hold talks with the PML-N “in the country’s interests”, reported the Daily Times.

Mushahid further said that Musharraf was just his party’s “old friend”, and that he (Musharraf) had no association with the PML-Q now.

Toeing the line of former premier Nawaz Sharif’s line, he also said that the ruling coalition should stop fooling people on the judges’ issue.

Nawaz has been for long demanding that the ruling coalition was not fulfilling its promise of reinstating all sacked Supreme Court judges, including the deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Ifthikhar Chaudhry. PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is said to be sticking to his ‘Minus One” formula, according to which he is ready to reinstate all judges except deposed chief justice Ifthikhar Chaudhry. (ANI)
