Perot Systems chalks out expansion plans
US-based $2.8 billion Perot Systems would open a new facility in Chennai and one in Coimbatore in a bid to expand its business in the country. The new facility is aimed to bring the company's worldwide BPO (business process outsourcing) operations in a single floor to deliver efficient results. The company has already invested about $2 million for these facilities to make them operational by the end of March.
The new facility would accommodate over 1,000 shift seats, leading to increase its workforce to more than 7,000 in the country. Vardhman Jain, Managing Director, Insurance and Business Process Solution, said that the new facility would address the long pending needs of their clients in healthcare and life insurance domains.
Perot Systems has more than 23,000 associates located in the U. S, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific with US accounts for about 83 per cent of total business operations of the company. It has also chalked out plans to expand its presence in Ireland, Jordan, India, Manila and China, particularly in healthcare and infrastructure domain.
