New York, July 13 : Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that there are no US or other foreign military personnel on the hunt for Osama bin Laden in the tribal areas, and none will be allowed in to search for the top al-Qaeda leader.
In an interview with foreign news agency, Qureshi said his nation’s new government has ruled out such military operations, covert or otherwise, to catch militants.
Washington, July 12 : No agreement has been reached between Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on wide ranging issues like the security situation in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan and economic cooperation, etc.
Qureshi described his hour-long meeting with Rice as “candid, frank, realistic and honest,” which is universally understood in diplomatic circles as a lack of agreement on the issues discussed.
Islamabad, May 21 : Foreign Ministers Pranab Mukherjee (India) and Shah Mahmoud Qureshi (Pakistan) have reportedly reviewed the progress made during the fourth round of composite dialogue here this afternoon, and are expected to address a joint press conference on the issues discussed and announce a fresh set of confidence building measures in a short while from now.
