Renuka Chowdhury to give National Child Awards

New Delhi, Nov. 14: Renuka Chowdhury, Minister of Women and Child Development, will give away National Child Awards to 36 children for exceptional achievements here today.

The National Child Awards will be presented for 2006, which include one gold medal at the national level and 35 silver medals at the State level.

These will be followed with cultural programmes and film shows for children at Shakuntalam Theatre, Pragati Maidan.

On the occasion, Chowdhry will also inaugurate the pavilion of the Ministry of Women and Child Development in Hall No. 16, which will have about 90 stalls of Swayamsidha Women Self Help Groups from all States and Union Territories.
