Hindus ask Europe to end Roma apartheid & apologize for centuries of maltreatment

Pope Benedict XVI, Rajan ZedHindus have asked European Union and countries of Europe to urgently take steps to end apartheid of their Roma people, terming it as immoral and a dark stain on the face of Europe.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman, Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it was moral obligation of Europe to take care of its largest minority Roma population and stop human rights violations reportedly regularly suffered by them, who numbered around ten million and were the most disadvantaged.

Hindus ask Australia to urgently develop a “bill of rights”

RajanHindus have asked Australia to create a “bill of rights” as a high-priority.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that Australia was one of the few Western countries that did not have a charter of rights.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, says that although Australia does have a National Action Plan for Human Rights, but according to a report of Australia Human Rights Commission (AHRC), a statutory organization that reports to the federal Parliament, this “plan however does not adequately identify positive, forward-looking measures to address the human rights issues…”

Lauding Beatles, Hindus urge celebrities to explore meditation

Rajan ZedHindus have applauded surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, for performing together Saturday at New York to raise money for promoting meditation.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that other celebrities, who had benefited from Hindu practices, should also come out in support of charities promoting Hinduism concepts.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, invited all entertainment celebrities to explore meditation to combat stress that their challenging jobs bring and to increase the powers of their minds.

Finland Prime Minister office forwards for further action Hindus request of nude photo removal

Rajan ZedFinland Prime Minister’s office has forwarded the Hindu leaders’ request for removal of “disrespectful” nude man’s picture from Helsinki museum exhibition to its National Board of Antiquities “for further possible actions”.

Sanna Rauhansalo, Special Advisor to Finland Prime Minister, in a communiqué to Hindu leaders, said, “Thank you very much for your e-mail and that you brought this matter to our attention. We have now forwarded it to the National Board of Antiquities and Historical Monuments for information and for further possible actions.”
