Washington, Nov. 10: U. S. President –elect Barack Obama''s designated chief of staff Rahm Emanuel has rejected suggestions from the Republican camp that his tough, partisan approach might run at odds with the Obama administration.

Stating that it is up to Obama to set a bipartisan "tone," the Illinois Representative told ABC News'' This Week, that partisan charges against him were rubbish that governance under Obama would be carried out in a bipartisan manner.

Washington, Nov 7 : Rahm Emanuel, who has accepted Barack Obama’s offer to be his chief of staff at the White House’, is better known by his nickname “Rahmbo”, for once he mailed a dead fish to a Democratic pollster who turned disloyal during a US Congressional race when Bill Clinton ran for his first bid to the Presidency.

Rahm Emanuel – Democratic Congressman from Illinois, and a veteran of the Clinton administration - has accepted the President-elect Barack Obama’s offer to become the new White House chief of staff. Informing Obama of his decision on Thursday, Emanuel said he would step down as the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives to help guide the Obama administration.
