London, February 23 : If reports are to be believed, `The Queen' star Dame Helen Mirren may soon meet U. S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle when she performs on the Washington stage.

Sir Nigel Sheinwald, Britain''s ambassador in the United States, is said to have taken the help of his wife, Lady Julia, to persuade Helen Mirren to play the title role in a National Theatre production of Phedre, a tragedy by Jean Racine, which will move to Washington in September after a three month run in London.

But she has now revealed that she is glad she did it, and is very adamant that they will both stick to their vows.

“It was never my intention to marry anybody. Economics are basically the only reason to get married, but I''m very glad I did it,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Glamour magazine.

The ‘Hamlet’ actress stated that the female jury is not adequately sympathetic towards women due to sexual jealousy, and a lawyer defending a man would want a jury constituting of women.
