Paul Burrell denies sexcapades with Princess Diana

Melbourne, June 16 : Paul Burrell denies sexcapades with Princess DianaDisgraced royal butler Paul Burrell has rubbished claims that he bedded Princess Diana and saw her naked, according to reports.

“Anyone who knows me, who knew the Princess, and who understands the boundaries and decencies of royal service, as well as the integrity and trust which existed within our working relationship at Kensington Palace, will know just how fanciful, distasteful and malicious these claims truly are," News. com. au quoted him, as saying in a statement.

Burrell’s wife, Maria, also came to his rescue saying: “I’m mortified, and hugely embarrassed, at the claims attributed to my brother. My husband was an exceptionally hardworking, diligent employee with impeccable standards of professionalism and duty, and whose integrity in royal service was never questioned.”

Former Royal Protection Officer Ken Wharf, who guarded Diana from 1986 to 1997, added: “There’s no way Diana would have been remotely interested in Burrell sexually.”

Earlier it was reported that Burrell had bragged to his wife’s brother Ron Cosgrove that he was on call for sex 24/7.

Cosgrove revealed: "It was 1993 while Paul was working for the Princess at Kensington Palace. Paul specifically asked if he could talk to me in private. He clearly had something on his mind.

"Then during the conversation he suddenly tells me he's been having a sexual relationship with the Princess."

"Paul told me that he'd get a call from Diana in the middle of the night specifically to have sex with her," Cosgrove said.

"I told him if it was true I was disgusted with him because he was married to my sister and cheating on her with another woman. But he didn't see that as a problem. He just replied, 'Yes, but it is the Princess'.

"I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe what he was telling me. He said: 'It's something I've got to do'. Like it was part of his duties. Incredibly, Paul then boasted that he and Diana were in love.

"His face was deadpan and he said it was deadly serious. I said 'You're dreaming'. I thought he was in a fantasy world. But he insisted it was the truth,” he added. (ANI)
