Pakistan bullish about win against India
As the Hockey World Cup will kick off on the 28th February this month, India will play its opening match against arch rivals Pakistan. The Pakistani captain Zeeshan Ashraf has even gone on record to say that the fans back in Pakistan will accept a flop show at the world cup but will not excuse a match lost against India.
"Back home, it doesn't matter whether we win the World Cup or not but winning against India is what everybody is looking for," he said. Be it Cricket, Hockey or any other sport for that matter, India-Pakistan games have always been played under intense pressure to win as the two countries don't share harmonious relations among themselves. Zeeshan candidly admitted that the home side will have an advantage but claimed that the pressure will be equal on both the sides.
In fact, the power of coming out with surprises that both the teams have, will add the much-desired spark to the clash.
But the result of the opening game will surely be an exciting match and a perfect kick-off to the Hockey World Cup.
