Pak Govt’s claims of parleys with Baloch extremists a ‘pack of lies’
Quetta, Apr 17: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has said that the Pakistan Government’s claim of holding negotiations with the rebel group are nothing but a “pack of lies.”
The BLA also said that new Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi and Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani were “fooling themselves” by offering talks.
In an interview with the Daily Times, BLA chief spokesman Bibarg Baloch said the new governor and chief minister had lied to the people by claiming to hold talks with Baloch “freedom fighters”.
Bibarg went on to say that the announcement of peace talks was a gimmick to get political mileage out of it and to support military and intelligence people.
“Neither has the government contacted us, nor are we interested in talks,” he added.
The rebel group also declared that two former governors and a former chief minister of Balochistan are on their hit list.
The hit-list includes: former Balochistan governors Amirul Mulk Mengal and Owais Ahmed Ghani; former Balochistan chief minister Jam Muhammad Yousaf; former federal minister Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind and former provincial home minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani. (ANI)
