Opera gets a high with the current number of downloads

Opera gets a high with the current number of downloadsOpera has all the reasons to celebrate at the moment as it got a real benefit from the recent move by Microsoft, who has recently offered its users a choice of browsers, by cashing upon the maximum number of downloads in the past few days.

It came from the EU region where Microsoft proffered its patrons an option of the 'web browser' choice screen' in March following the recent settlement of anti-trust issue.

Here the users were given an option of 12 different browsers with a mixture of popular browsers such as Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera, alongside of lesser-known browsers such as Sleipnir, Green Browser, Maxthon, Avant and Flock. Opera, who rejoices the situation, says that it's the browser choice screen which took the sales to 46 percent. CTO of Opera, Hkon Wium Lie adds further, "This confirms that when users are given a real choice on how they choose the most important piece of software on their computer, the browser, they will try out alternatives".
