One killed, five injured in Baghdad explosion
Baghdad - One person was killed and five others were injured Tuesday when an explosive device went off in eastern Baghdad, according to Iraqi police.
Police told the Voices of Iraq news agency that the bomb exploded near a vehicle carrying employees from the ministry of health, killing one and injuring three others.
Two civilians close to the scene of the blast were injured as well.
At least five civilians were killed and 22 others were injured Monday in a suicide blast in central Baquba, which lies around 60 km northeast of Baghdad.
That explosion happened at the Abdulkarim al-Medani mosque, the largest Shiite mosque in Diyala province. (dpa)
