Oman Minister praises India's ITEC programme
Muscat, Feb. 5: Oman's Minister for Manpower, Dr. Juma Bin Ali Al Juma, has praised the technical education promoted by the Indian government for Omani students.
Speaking on the occasion of Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day here on Sunday, Dr. Juma said his government is highly appreciative of the ITEC Programme of the Government of India.
According to a Gulf News report, the ITEC Programme has been active since 1964, and about 156 countries in Asia, Africa, East Europe, Central & Latin America, Pacific and Small Island countries are invited to share in the Indian development experience.
"India spends about 500million rupees (Dirham 46.65million) annually on ITEC activities," said Anil Wadhwa, India's Ambassador to Oman. (ANI)
