NSW triumph CLT20 title
The Australian domestic club New South Wales has defeated Trinidad and Tobago by 41 runs in the final to clinch the title of US $6 million T20 Champions League at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Friday.
Trinidad won the toss and elected to field first. NSW scored 159 runs for loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. NSW was once struggling with six wickets down at the score of 83 runs but Brett Lee smashed 48 runs in just 31 balls to help his team to put up a decent score on the board.
Ravi Rampaul took three wickets for just 29 runs in his 4 overs while Dwane Bravo chipped in with two wickets.
Chasing target of 160 runs, Trinidad lost their wickets at continuous intervals as they bundled out for just 118 runs on the board in 15.5 overs. Stuart Clarke claimed three wickets while Lee and Nathan Hauritz took two wickets each.
