Nokia launches Ovi Browse
Today Nokia may be celebrating its 15 years in India but the company has also simultaneously released a phone browser. This browser is particularly for use on its low-end handsets in emerging markets.
This Ovi Browse is termed as a knock off to Opera's Mini phone browser. The browser is a Java client and is a 0.1 affair. The browser is all the more important for the company as it's the first service from its own ad engine. As the company acquired Novarra in this April only to, anchor its contextual mobile advertising and analytic areas of its business.
The company is quite strong headed for this particular application as its constant focus currently is to build up infrastructure in order to upgrade its speed, performance and reliability of its services to its users.
The company also plans to add features to cater to the personal search options by the users and to provide more localized content for markets.
Currently the unit for this is placed in the province of Phale, under a small village named Fael, in the former Kingdom of Westphalia.
