New Delhi, Aug 12 : Hitting out at BJP leader Arun Jaitley for terming the Kishtwar violence "a threat to India's sovereignty", Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday called the BJP "hypocrites" over the party-led Gujarat government's response to the 2002 sectarian riots.

Taking to twitter, Abdullah asked: "Would Jaitley be so kind as to inform parliament whether the Gujarat home minister or MOS Home resigned or even offered to in 2002?"

Kingfisher Airlines Chairman Vijay Mallya suffered another setback on Saturday after lenders to his beleaguered airline took possession of the Kingfisher House.

The possession of the Kingfisher House was taken by the State Bank of India (SBI) - the biggest lender to Kingfisher Airlines. The Mumbai-based Kingfisher House is the headquarters of the grounded airline.

The property will be used auctioned and proceeds from the sale would be used to repay loans. The airline owes more than Rs 6,027 crore to lenders.

New Delhi, Aug 12 :Sales of domestic passenger car segment fell 7.40 percent in July, indicating a bearish consumer sentiment due to slow economic growth, high fuel and interest costs.

Data furnished Monday by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) showed that 131,163 units were sold in the month under review from an off-take of 141,646 units in the corresponding period of 2012.

Utility vehicles sales fell by 17.53 percent at 37,010 units from 44,878 units sold in the corresponding period of 2012.

New Delhi, Aug 12 : Three people have died in clashes in the Jammu region, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram Monday said adding that the government will not allow any forced migration from the area.

The minister told the Rajya Sabha that the situation in the violence-hit Jammu region has been brought under control, and three lives have been lost.

"So far, two Muslims and one Hindu have died in the clashes. All of us are Indians. Three Indian lives have been lost and that is a matter of great regret," Chidambaram said.
