Lindsay LohanNew York, June 18 : Elle Magazine bosses aren't holding actress Lindsay Lohan responsible for 500,000-dollar jewellery theft.

The Mean Girls star had to be quizzed by cops after 500,000 dollars worth of Dior jewellery she wore during a photoshoot went missing on June 6.

"Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make," the New York Daily News quoted a spokesperson for Elle magazine as saying.

The starlet is herself infuriated at being blamed for the theft.

The remark had read, "So dark - where's jb cheater?" and a photo of the pop star appearing to be close to another woman was added to it, suggesting that Timberlake was cheating on his girlfriend Jessica Biel.

But Lohan has claimed that someone at the club hacked into her Twitter. com account on June 15, and that she had nothing to do with the bitchy remark on fellow clubber Timberlake's behaviour.
