It has been learnt that David has got suggestions from the five wise men that he should take a break from the game for a while so he can regain his focus and come back afresh.

There have been many reports that claim that following the win in the Chennai Test, chairman of selectors Krishnamachari Srikkanth conducted a closed door meeting with Dravid in the midst of the team celebrations. It has been learnt that he suggested a break for him.

Furthermore, it is also being supposed that the chairman of selectors even offered Dravid to bat down the order at number five instead of his regular number three position; and have VVS Laxman bat at number three.
