Now, Abhishek and Aishwarya will sing a song for their upcoming film ‘Ravana.’

Initially, ace music director A R Rahman wrote a song, which would have been used for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Lajjo’.

But the plan to make ‘Lajjo’ got postponed, and Rahman decided to use the composition for ‘Ravana’.

It is also heard that Mani Rathnam has also permitted him to do so.

Lajjo is Mani Rathnam’s Bollywood project that was supposed to star perfectionist Aamir Khan and hot Kareena Kapoor.

The project, which was supposed to start in 2005, got postponed many times due to busy schedules of stars as well as film makers. And this time again, it got postponed.

If ‘Lajjo’ hadn’t been shelved, then Aamir and Kareena would have sung this particular song.

However, now this composition is being used for Ravana, and Abhi and Ash will do its vocals.

Rahman said, “Some of the songs in Lajjo were generic, so we have translocated them into Raavana. Such things happen once in a while. No regrets. There is no time for that. Regret is boring. Mani s new film is a new genre for me. I ve done nothing like this before. So that s exciting.”

It is said that Ravana may not be the film’s final title. Govinda is also playing a role in the film, which will be released in 2009.
