Raul Castro ready to meet Obama at US military base at Guantanamo Bay
New York, Nov 27 : Cuban President Raul Castro seems quite optimistic of the normalization of relations between the US and Cuba.
In an interview, actor Sean Penn asked Castro if he would meet U. S. President-elect Barack Obama.
According to the New York Post, Fidel''s younger brother replied that such a meeting would have to be on "neutral ground", for which he proposed the American military base at Guantanamo Bay.
While writing in Nation magazine, the 48-year-old star also revealed that Raul suggested a gift, saying Cubans could send Obama "home with the American flag that waves over Guantanamo Bay." (ANI)
