Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti to meet Governor’s panel on Aug. 29

Jammu, Aug 28 : The fourth round of talks between Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SASS) and the panel appointed by the Jammu and Kashmir Governor headed by SS Bloeria has been postponed and is likely to be held on Friday.

According to an official spokesman due to the minor illness of the committee’s chief SS Bloeria the meeting has been rescheduled on Friday (August 29).

Earlier, the Convenor of SASS Leela Karan Sharma has received invitation from the Governor''s panel for fourth round of talks to be held at a Guest House here around
1630 hours, Samiti''s spokesperson Narinder Singh said.

"We have already submitted written demands to the Governor''s panel and are expecting a favourable response from them", he said.

The Samiti''s committee which consists of Tilak Raj Sharma, Brigadier (retd) Suchet Singh, Narinder Singh and Pawan Kohli had earlier held three rounds of talks with the Governor''s panel on August 23 to arrive at some decision on the land issue.

However, the talks remained inconclusive and it was agreed by both sides that they would resume the discussions at a later stage.

Principal Secretary to the Governor, B B Vyas had earlier sent invitation to the convenor of the Samiti on August 18 for holding talks. (ANI)
