Jerusalem  - US President George W Bush arrived at Israel's parliament Thursday for a historic address marking 60 years since the state was established on May
14, 1948.

Bush received a red-carpet welcome at the Knesset, where a military orchestra played the US and Israeli national anthems.

The last US president to address Israel's parliament was Bill Clinton in October 1994. (dpa)
