Three People Injured in Car Crash

In a car crash, three people, including a nine-year-old girl, have been injured. The incident happened on Sunday when a car crashed into a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport.

As soon as the report came of such an incident, Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel were sent at the spot. The officials towed the vehicle shortly after 6pm and left one open for traffic. As per the officials, the crash did not affect air traffic operations.

According to investigators, a 2015 Porsche Panamera hit the nine-year-old girl and then breached the stucco wall of a utility room at the terminal of United Airlines.

LA City Fire Spokesperson Brian Humphrey said that three people were taken to the hospital due to the incident. As mentioned above, the girl was reported to be in serious condition. The driver, 67, and his passenger have not suffered severe injuries and were said to be in good condition.

Alcohol is not the reason behind the accident. Detectives think it was accident. LAPD Sgt. Roy Ceja said, “All indications [are] saying that he probably mistook the gas pedal for the brake in the vehicle when he was dropping off a passenger here at Terminal 7, United Airlines”.

L.A. City Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Armando Hogan said that the building to which the car has hit is quite solid. Therefore, there is minimal damage. A passing motorist has captured a video, which shows the rear end of the sedan, its back lights blinking, many emergency workers present at the scene and jam of vehicles and luggage carts.
