Earlier in a court filing, oil heir Andrew Getty said that he suffered from a serious health problem that could put his life in danger. Now, Getty has been found dead and the health problem is supposed to be the reason for that.

The 47-year-old Getty wrote in a March 16 court document that had been diagnosed with a condition. Getty's grandfather J. Paul Getty made his family among the richest in the country's history. Getty did not specify the condition in the court document.

He wrote that his blood pressure was rising, which placed him in serious risk of substantial and irreparable injury or death. Coroner and police have not officially announced his death, but Getty's parents, Ann and San Francisco billionaire scion Gordon Getty, confirmed that Getty had died on Tuesday.

Ed Winter, Los Angeles County coroner's Assistant Chief, said that Getty's death has been appeared to be from natural causes, but the death is called an accident due to the medication found at the death place. According to Winter, coroner's officials should wait for results of further examination and toxicology tests. The test could take 10 weeks to process.

Winter further said, "The tentative information that we do have is that he was not feeling good for the last couple months and he supposedly had an appointment tomorrow with a personal physician". A law enforcement official said that there were reports that Getty has been complaining about stomach pain in the days prior to his death.

Another official familiar with the matter said that officials working on the case discovered some prescription medications and 'injectables' at Getty's home, where he lived for more than 15 years. The second official stated that Getty's girlfriend found him dead and informed 911. According to the reports, Getty's girlfriend found him with blood around him.
