Jalene Salinas, a Young Girl with Terminal Brain Cancer, Passes Away

Jalene Salinas, a young girl with terminal brain cancer, who became famous for spending a sweet final moment with Taylor Swift, reportedly passed away at the age of 4.

According to local Texas news outlets, the little girl died on Sunday, March 15. The girl had a small meeting with Swift earlier this month as she checked the final items off of her bucket list.

The hashtag #ShakeItOffJaleneJust was posted on Twitter few weeks before untimely death of Salinas. The supporters after the tweet learned that the little girl’s last wish was to dance with Swift on her hit single ‘Shake It Off’.

The social media campaign got the attention of the Grammy winner, who took the time to spend nearly 20 minutes on the phone with the ailing child.

Swift in a taped conversation with Salinas said, “I'm so sorry you're having a bad night, I'm so happy to talk to you though and I'm so happy you like ‘Shake it Off'. You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You're just as pretty as your pictures”.

It was found that the 25-year-old pop star even sent the little girl a package of presents, including signed merchandise and albums of her music.

Salinas, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, when she was just 3 years old. Supporters and fans of the little one even created a Facebook page on which they timely updated her condition.

On Monday morning, the page’s author confirmed that Salinas had passed away. The Facebook page showed that ‘On March 15, 2015, Jalene gained her beautiful angel wings’.

The author of the page mentioned that Salinas bravely fought with the cancer till the end. Jalene was a true princess, he added.

The statement continued saying that thank you for being a part of Salinas’ journey.
