If govt fails to resolve judges’ issue, PML-Q may table resolution in NA
Lahore, Apr 28 : If the ruling coalition failed to resolve the judicial crisis, the PML-Q would bring a resolution in the National Assembly for the solution of the crisis, said PML-Q president and former Pakistan premier Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
Shujaat said the judicial crisis was not a legal or constitutional issue, but purely a political issue and it should be resolved politically.
Nawaz Sharif had been using the issue to get political gains, adding that there was no judicial crisis in the country and the issue was created by the political parties, he said and added that it was impossible to remove the sitting judges and reinstall the sacked judges, reported The News.
Speaking on the occasion, the party Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed admitted that sacking the judges was a ‘wrong decision’ by President Pervez Musharraf.
About the Balochistan issue, he said the parliamentary committee headed by him had compiled a detailed report on the issue and submitted its recommendations. Instead of forming a new committee on the issue, the recommendations made by the parliamentary committee should be implemented in letter and spirit. (ANI)
