Philips Launches Its New Line Of Ambilight LCD High Definition TVs
Mumbai: Philips Electronics has introduced its diamond rncrusted Ambilight LCD High Definition TV, having new Light Emitting Diode (LED), in the Indian market.
Valued at around Rs 1.29 lakh each, the latest TV range also has proprietary Perfect Pixel HD engine technologies, along with full HD screen display of 1920 x 1080 p resolution. Due to the inventive LED light source, the fresh line-up is also more energy-efficient as compared to its earlier range.
Gunjan Srivastava, Director (Consumer Electronics Division) of Philips Electronics India, told that the company was thinking about strengthening its occurrence in the consumer lifestyle segment in India.
Mr. Srivastava commented, “High-end product categories like LCDs are growth drivers for Philips.”
The company has also brought out the diamond-encrusted Ambilight flat TV. Made in teamwork with New York-based jewelry company A.Link, the 42-inch piece features 225 carats of around 2,250 individual diamonds arranged into a flowery pattern around the frame edges.
The only piece that the company made is not for retail sale, and has been touring throughout the world to mark its millionth Ambilight flat TV that will be shortly auctioned off to charity. The TV is likely to be valued at around $1,50,000.
Bollywood celebrity Katrina Kaif brought out the set at a function in Mumbai.
