Google releases latest versions of Chrome browser for Android and iOS users With Google launching the latest versions of its Chrome browser for Android and iOS users, the company's browser now boasts new updates for speed, search and sharing; thereby unfolding a much enhanced performance on the smaller screens of mobile devices.

About the latest Chrome browser version for the Android, mobile software engineers Grace Kloba and Rohit Rao revealed in a March 4-dated post on the Google Chrome Blog that the new version of the browser not only makes it easier to "share" pages with friends on social media sites, but also brings along a notably quicker search and scrolling performance.

According to the post, the enhancements in search and speed are a result of the fact that the browser now includes the latest V8 JavaScript engine that has been optimized for mobile.

Noting that browser speed is "critical" for the users, particularly when they are on the go, Kloba and Rao said in the blog post that the latest Chrome browser version allows Android users to "scroll and fling to view all of your favorite Web pages with even more speed and ease."

Further adding that the newest Chrome browser version for the Android and iOS has, on an average, "improved the Octane performance benchmark by 25 percent" since the previous update, Kloba and Rao said: "This means that interactions within Web pages in the browser are snappier."
