Razer to release its refreshed Blade gaming laptop on Sept 30Gaming hardware maker Razer revealed in a recent announcement that it will soon come up with a refreshed version of its Blade gaming laptop, which is a unique gaming system launched by the company last year.

According to the announcement made by Razer, the company will start shipping a notably slicker version of its already-slick Blade gaming laptop in the US on September 30; and is now taking pre-orders for the device.

Razer said that, as compared to the high-priced original Blade, the refreshed version will also be available at a cut price. The new Blade will cost $2,499; and for the buyers of the original gaming laptop, the new version will be priced at $2000.

While Razer will continue with the original Blade's ultra-thin case for the new version also, the refreshed Blade will feature an enhanced, still-to-be-announced Core i7 CPU, and a GeForce GTX 660M GPU.

In addition, the refreshed Razer version will also boast a 17.3-inch HD display with 1920x1080 resolution; 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM; a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive; and 64GB solid state storage. The upgraded internal speakers of the new laptop will be 250 percent louder than that of the original Blade, and will also be free of distortion.

Along with optimized speakers, the refreshed Blade will also have quieter fans, HDMI-out, and three USB 3.0 ports which will be capable of charging the laptop even when it is switched off.
