Apple inviting British journalists to WWDC in June
Apple is reportedly inviting journalists from the UK to attend the company's Worldwide Developer Conference keynote in early June.
Apple's iPhone public relations team has invited journalists from major publications to the event, where the company could review new smartphone hardware, according to a new report by UK blog ElectricPig.
The blog speculates that the American technology giant will release an interim iPhone 4S before the launch of the next generation of the iPhone smartphone next year. The iOS 5 is expected to include improved MobileMe services supplying a cloud locker for personal music, photos and videos.
Analysts predict that as Apple is expected to announce iOS 5 at WWDC in June, it could release the new software and new hardware around September this year because it usually releases new hardware about three months after the customary release of its software.
The company might also discuss Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and its new Server software. Apple has indicated that the keynote on June 6 will deliver "a preview of the future of iOS and Mac OS X," on its website.
