Three HuM militants arrested in Srinagar
Srinagar, April 2 : Three top Hizbul Mujahideen militants, including a self-styled district commander, were arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police from Kupwara District of the State on Wednesday.
According to a police spokesperson, the arrested militants have been identified as Mudasir Shabir Ganai alias Ali, district commander, Parvaiz Ahmad Wani alias Mubashir and Nisar Ahmad. They were arrested from Gund-Chogal in Handwara area of the District.
The spokeman said two AK-47 rifles, six magazines, 125 rounds, a pistol with one magazine and four rounds, three Chinese grenades, an under barrel grenade launcher with eight grenades, three mobile phones and two pouches were also recovered from the arrested militants.
Ganai was wanted in numerous cases in the district and there was a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh on his head. (ANI)
