Rupee gains against dollar in early trade
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark Sensex has gone up in the early trading of Monday. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty has also seen a hike. The Indian rupee has been appreciated against US dollar as well.
At the early trade today, the rupee of India has gone up 11 paise to Rs 46.53 a dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange. As per the market experts, this appreciation has been highly influenced by the fresh capital inflows by foreign funds to the country.
Moreover, the Asian currencies are trading stronger against the dollar for quite few times. In the previous session the rupee had ended up with a gain against the US dollar. The rupee was closed at the two-week high of Rs 46.64/65 as compared to dollar in its previous session.
Forex dealers have said that the Asian currencies are providing support to the Indian currency to post a hike against the dollar at present. There has been huge capital inflow by the foreign investors into the equities as well.
