Godrej Consumer Products Q1 PAT at Rs 116 crore
Leading FMCG firm of the country, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. It has informed that the profit after tax of the firm has gone up to Rs 116 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010. There has been a significant rise in profit-after-tax and net sales figure of the company.
GCPL had posted a net profit of Rs 69.46 crore for the similar quarter in the previous financial year. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd has informed this in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales of the company has been reported to be Rs 643 crore for the June quarter of the year which was Rs 437.41 crore for its corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal of 2009-10.
Godrej Consumer Products Ltd has also informed that the Board of Directors of the company has recommended a 100% interim dividend to its shareholders for this quarter. This will entail an outflow of Rs 37.9 crore for the company.
