Zenotech posts a loss of Rs 3.22 crore for Q1

ZenotechLeading drug firm Zenotech Laboratories has declared its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11 and it has suffered a loss in this quarter. The company has suffered a net loss of Rs 3.22 crore for the quarter under review.

However, the company has managed to minimize its net loss marginally this time. The net loss of the firm was reported to be Rs 3.41 crore for the same quarter last year. But the firm has posted a superior total income figure in the Q1 of the fiscal.

So far as the total income of the firm is concerned, it has gone up to Rs 1.47 crore during the April-June period of fiscal year 2010. It has Rs 1.07 crore for the same quarter last year. This has been informed by Zenotech Laboratories in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).  

Meanwhile, Japanese drug firm Daiichi Sankyo has shown interest to buy 20% stake in Zenotech Laboratories. The Japanese firm has offered Rs 78.2 crore to buy the stake with Rs 113.62 per share.
