New member added in the Indian electronic market- Oscar Electronics

OscarOscar Electronics had decided to enter Indian electronics market by introducing its new dual SIM handsets in the mobile market with the brand name of OSCAR. The company completed its other range of electronic consumer goods. OSCAR mobiles are ranged between Rs.1700 to Rs. 4500 targeting budget customers.

It was scheduled by the Oscar Electronics to introduce 10 new models of mobiles foremost in the North East of India. Among these 10 models, 6 of them have already taken entry in the market with N1 as entry level handsets and Z1 as its current high end phone.

The entry level phones are equipped with vibration speakers and high end phone comes with QWERTY keypad, fast processor, front back camera and some more features. Other features like FM radio, MP3, MP4 player, social networking access and a 1.3 MP camera are loaded in other range of models.

In India, around 50% of mobile users use low cost mobiles and Oscar has identified the potential of the country in terms of mobile usage and has decided to target rural and semi-urban market. Apart from offering low cost handsets, company also claims to provide high quality products at unbeatable price with no-basic policy. They offer features in accordance to the price tagged by them.

Oscar is looking forward to launch all its 10 dual SIM models in the next two months. Company officials are very futuristic about the launch of these models. Suresh Wadhwani, Executive Director, Oscar Electronics, said that the company is expecting to sell one lakh mobiles per month in North & East India with a turnover of Rs. 250 crores and afterwards grow further. In coming five years company is expecting to reach a turnover of 1000 crores.
