FTC resolves the matter of CyberSpy

CyberSpyAccording to the recent advancements US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and software company CyberSpy have apparently settled their legal dispute.

FTC had filed a lawsuit against CyberSpy in 2008 blaming them of creating a RemoteSpy application that apart from being undetectable could provide sensitive information without letting the user know about it.

The recent settlement demands CyberSpy to forbid the usage of the software illegally for encrypting data and at the same time asks the CyberSpy should remove all legacy versions of RemoteSpy.

The much discussed RemoteSpy, is a software that is used as a monitoring tool and aids in removal of all information from a targeted system without user knowledge.

The tool can be attached with any file which is being downloaded without knowledge of user, and thus gets installed digging out the user's private information.
