Ticket prices for Wankhede clash is on high
BCCI has informed that the tickets for the 2011 World Cup final at the Wankhede will be around Rs 10,000 to 15,000. The final match will be played on 2nd of April.
So this has been a clear message from the Indian Board to the common man that they can take a walk, because the price of the tickets will be on a high next year.
The former BCCI president and the ICC president-in-waiting, Mr. Sharad Pawar has informed that the Board has been trying to keep pricing reasonable.
So it depends on the tournament they are playing and the circumstances. He has also given the example of Sri Lanka where the lowest priced ticket is just 20 US cents. He has said this to the media. There was a news conference to announce the opening of ticket sales for the next year's World Cup.
However, this ticket price is almost nine-ten times higher than that of the other centers within India. And these are two league matches that to be played at the Wankhede Stadium.
