Browsing data reveals intricate details

internet-securityComputer security is being questioned at the moment with the current browsing methods that seemingly are leaving trails behind the internet browsing history themselves.

It appears that in a bid to scare away the computer crimes by deploying various security measures on their computers, one could actually leave trails behind.

This was stated by the internet privacy group the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) that claims that a web browser can be made as individual to the user as a camera or old style typewriter can be.

It is further believed that traces such as cookies, plugins and data from the operating system could be detrimental which acts as a fingerprint to identify the user.

This when tested by the EFF close to 84 per cent of volunteers could be easily identified after visiting a specially created website. To worsen the scenario even further some companies are beginning to sell browser fingerprint products.
