BMW India expects a double-digit growth in 2010
Amidst the change the top seat at Peter Kronschabl, President, BMW India will soon be flying to take charge of BMW's Russia operations hasn't left any sign on worry on the company. BMW India the company that displaced Mercedes as the king of luxury car market is 2009 is once again assuring of a double digit growth from the Indian market in 2010.
The company has recently launched the all new 5-Series in the Indian market which according to experts is fitter, meaner and better. In fact, with the total luxury car sales expected to touch 11,000 units this year, BMW is expected to settle somewhere around 4,000 units.
It may be noted here that the company expects the 5-Series to contribute almost half of the volumes alone. Moreover, the company also expects to start its NBFC operations soon in the Indian market. The company entered the Indian boundaries in 2006 and has taken the luxury car market by storm. With the tightened grip on the Indian consumer this numero uno is in no mood to take the fight in the luxury car market as child's play.
