Firstsource Solutions Ltd. has announced it's forth quarter financial results for the year 2009-10. The company has reported to encounter a loss in this quarter. Firstsource Solutions Ltd. is one of the leading business process outsourcing or BPO firm of the country based in Mumbai. Firstsource operates call centers for telecom operators in India.

As per the financial report it has posted a disappointing 13% decline in its profit in the three months ended March from a year earlier.

However the revenue of the company has risen to 7.3% for the same quarter. The company has earned Rs35.6crore as profit which was Rs40.8 crore for the same quarter in the preceding year. As per analysts, the one-off items have pulled the profit figure down.

The company could not register a profit due to foreign exchange and foreign currency convertible bond related losses. But it has seen a rise in revenue by 12.7%. In the previous year it was Rs1,749 crore for the quarter while now it has gone up to Rs1,970crore this year.
