Sachin Pockets IPL's Best Batsman And Captain's AwardMumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar has won the awards for best batsman and best captain at the flashy Sahara Indian Premier League (IPL) Awards ceremony.

The awards ceremonial occasion at the Grand Hyatt on Friday night, however, was not attended by lots of the top bosses in BCCI.

Only former board president Inderjit Singh Bindra, who is principal advisor to the International Cricket Council (ICC), and Sunil Gavaskar from the governing council attended the glittery event.

Sachin bagged the honors for leading his group to the IPL final and also for being the top scorer in the third season of IPL.

Best wicket taker Pragyan Ojha of defending champions Deccan Chargers was declared as the best bowler wheras West Indies' Keiron Pollard, Mumbai Indians' priciest buy in 2010's auction, bagged the award for the best debut performance.

The IPL awards panel was led by commissioner Lalit Modi and other board members including Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Javagal Srinath, Simon Taufel and Harsha Bogle
