Electronic industries invited in Tamil Nadu

M-K-Stalin001Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on Sunday announces an invitation, calling all the electronic industries to set up their factories in the state along with their supplementary units.

He said that automobile industries is growing at a faster rate in Tamil Nadu, holding around 85% of the domestic market and our government also expects a similar growth in electronic components so he requests all the electronic product manufacturers to invest in Tamil Nadu.

In particular he appealed Sanmina company, an electronic manufacturing services company (EMS ), to invest in Tamil Nadu by setting up its printed board facility unit.

Stalin also said that Chennai has become the hub for electronic hardware but the country's import rate of electronic components is still high; around 75 percent to 85 percent.

In order to motivate the electronic manufacturers who came to attend the inauguration of Sanmina-SCI's facility at Oragadam, he said that in India demand and supply for electronic components never meet, so this will provide opportunities to the manufacturers to increase their production by setting up new units at different locations.

Sanmina is considered as one of the top most EMS in the world with the capacity to produce products worth RS 400-500 million annually, this company has invested RS. Rs. 225 crore in its facility in India and is programmed to grow further.
