Indian women draw fourth match against Japan

Indian womenIndian women hockey team has held Japan to 2-2 draw in the fourth and last match of the tour at the Gifu Green Stadium in Kakamigahara, Japan on Wednesday.

Saundarya Yendala scored first goal for India in the seventh minute but Rika Komazawa leveled the score by smashing ball into the nets in the 9th minute of the match. The score was at one goal each in the half time.

Saundarya gave India once again lead by converting a penalty corner into goal in the 39th minute of the match. Mie Nakashima scored the equalizer for the Japan in the 62nd minute as match ended with 2-2 goals.

India had already lost the series 0-3 but with this draw India has barred Japan from making clean sweep in the series. Indian team will now play three matches series against China at the Shanghai starting from Tuesday.
