There is another bad news for the viewers from the IPL side after their favourite Pakistani players already being excluded. IPL has always been surrounded by controversies.

Be it the last year's shift to South Africa owing to political reasons or this year's IPL's decision to exclude Pakistani players.

A fresh controversy arose when the news channels decided to boycott IPL and announced their decision to not cover any sort of news related to IPL's third season. This decision followed after a meeting between the News Broadcasters' Association and officials of the IPL and Set Max.

The clauses in the agreement to cover IPL news have changed.News channels would be able to telecast news only after a half an hour delay as against a 5 minute delay and the number of repeats has also been reduced to 3 instead of 4 previously.

The 2010 tournament has already run into controversies after the Shiv Sena has threatened Australia and Pakistani players. Thenews channels have already asked for apology to its viewers stating reasons for this boycott.
